Backorders & Local Pick-up Options
NEW FEATURE: When checking someone out at POS, please notice the drop-down in the upper left of the page. You will be asked to choose a warehouse location for customer pick-up.
Customer Pick-up From the .com
- All .com customer pick-ups go to Kirkwood for Customer pick-up
- “This is a local pick-up” notification will appear on the screen with the customer’s address
- Continue with the order as usual
- When the backordered item arrives it will be reserved to your order
- Order is scanned to a bin, charged, and shipped
- Use the Kirkwood email template to notify customer their order is ready for pick-up in Kirkwood
Customer Pick-up in Kirkwood
- Select the Kirkwood location from the drop-down in the upper left of the page at POS
- Continue with the order as usual
- When the backordered item arrives it will be reserved to your order
- Order is scanned to a bin, charged, and shipped, you will get the message “This is a Local Pick-up”
- Place the order in a bag and put in on the Kirkwood cart near Ann’s office
- When the order arrives in Kirkwood, use the appropriate email template, to notify customer their order is ready for pick-up and give them directions
Customer Pick-up in Fenton
- Select the Fenton location from the drop-down in the upper left of the page at POS
- Continue with the order as usual
- When the backordered item arrives it will be reserved to your order
- Order is scanned to a bin, charged and shipped, you will get the message “This is a Local Pick-up”
- Place the order in a bag and put in on the Fenton cart near the restrooms
- When the order is delivered to Fenton, use the Fenton email template, to notify customer their order is ready for pick-up and give them directions
