Products can appear to be duplicates that are not. First check a few things
- Is the UPC the same?
- Is the MFG part number the same?
- Is the piece count the same?
- Is it part of a different collection? (Lafayette specifically)
- Is the Manufacturer the same?
If the part number or UPC are the same, you likely, but not always have a duplicate product. If the piece count or collection is the same, it may be mis-attributed. Always do some research to confirm.
If you have determined that the product is, in fact, a duplicate (DUPE), proceed using the following rules
The non-Dupe is the PID that has the most sales history
- Go to the DUPE Product Record
- Update Status to Duplicate
- Type ‘DUPE’ somewhere in the URL
- If there is inventory, it must be moved & receiving/retail need to be told to resticker.
- If there is no inventory
- Uncheck Active box
- Uncheck Approved box
