Add a Vendor or Manufacturer to the Company Database

Go to Companies >> Insert Company

Determine if the company is a MFG or a vendor.

Set up a VENDOR

Copy MFG if they are the same.  

Manufacturer pages get the following info:

MFG Pages 

• Price rules
• Email
• Company Link
  • prefer to have one, but some brands are too small
  • Internal link

Vendor Pages

Vendors are the only company pages that get detailed info.

Company Long Description should be left blank.

Required fields for Company Record

• Company Name

• Site Name

• • Company Type Name (option to copy, later in the form)
  • Company Group (Puzzles & Games)
  • Company Link is left blank – goes on MFG page

• Company Association List (without this the purchasing admin cannot process)

• Company Notes – must be unique, something not found in company form or on company attributes
• Net Terms (feeds various forms on admin)
• Contact Info (contact email feeds various forms on admin)
• Free Shipping Minimum (feeds View Vendor Stats report)

Not required but necessary

• Company Group Name:  Puzzles & Games
• Email Notification (When we are OOS on a product, this will request the customer input their email address to be notified when back in stock)
• Copy Company As – Use if MFG and vendor are the same
• Website Backorder Note (Note on front end when on bypass)
• Damaged Product Procedure
• Bypass Dates – will put the entire brand on bypass
• Purchase Order Notes
