How do I choose a Priority?

You will notice on your dashboard that JIRA prioritizes your work for you with the dark red arrows at the top and the green ones at the bottom. It is important to choose a priority for every ticket you log to communicate the urgency of your issue to your team. While this seems like common sense, it can be difficult to decide what priority to assess.

 

 Critical
If you are unable to do your job, that is the highest priority.

 

  Very High
Serious problem that could block progress.

 

 Medium
Has the potential to affect progress.

 

  Low
Minor problem or easily worked around.

 

  Lowest
Trivial problem with little or no impact on progress.
